I do not mind kings - I am angry abour "wannabe kings" - that's what Trump is trying to play at... 😘 I suppose "No Kings in the US" would be more appropriable... But, of course, I get the idea.

A time must come when it’s utterly irrelevant whether you’re Shiite or Sunni, Muslim or Christian, white or black. The only thing that should matter is whether you’re a decent human or an asshole. Only then does Land for All stand a chance anywhere, in my opinion.

30.07.2025 10:34 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Future or utopia? If only the future, however I'm afraid that as long as extremists, religious fanatics, and morons or ruthless greed-mongers hold any significant power, this is impossible. Because the individual reasons; the crowd raves.
Let this be the future—beyond one conflict and beyond states
The summer chafer (Amphimallon solstitiale), a nice beetle with delicate little claws. I experienced one summer-they proliferated massively-what a ride! A swarm flies through, and dozens of brown little bodies keep bumping into you as you block their path. This one was alive, later happily flew away

17.07.2025 07:24 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It seems that these days, it's much easier, cheaper, and above all, many times safer to travel to China than to the USA. And that's a terribly tragic realization.
16.07.2025 06:47 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0A very young great tit (Parus major) was wobbling around the garden. It could sort of fly already, so after resting in the shade, it set off on its next journey. A truly lovely experience.

30.06.2025 19:58 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Cosmopolitan cellar spider (Pholcus phalangioides) is one of the spiders I get along with pretty well. And right now, there's quite a bunch of them here...
30.06.2025 19:51 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Here's an older one, but I still like it. Catching (and releasing) crayfish in Moravice river in our countryside. A very cool experience not only for our sons. I found a few crayfish recipes in my great-grandmother's old cookbook - but these crayfish survived unscathed. 😉 Photo: Dan Jedlička

16.06.2025 07:51 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yesterday I have met fellow(s) with a very magnificent name - grey tiger longhorn beetle (Xylotrechus rusticus). As you can see, they were just in the middle of something. He is not a very pleasant neighbour-he eats and lives in wood. Not ideal to have him in the rafters (not my case yet, though).

16.06.2025 05:51 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yesterday I met this one: the ant bag beetle (Clytra laeviuscula) - it's actually a cousin of the Colorado potato beetle. Also very pretty, isn't it?
