Through interviews & re-enactments, Pfau confirmed sharply gendered & hierarchical labor practice at the Synchotron. Despite division of workspaces, expertise wasn't strictly compartmentalized. While this work enriches our understanding of experimental practice, it is highly case dependent #SHOT2025

Yseul Byeon discussed the format of a Korean television program called ‘Finding my Dispersed Family’. The producer wanted to create an apolitical tv show which led to accidental organic growth of a family search campaign. The program led to a government managed database now including DNA matches.

Theodore Gordon author of ‘The Composers Black Box’ discussed electronic music as a new medium for composers in the 1960s. He showed experiments with electronic equipment using magnetic tape and reflected on theories about the medium as the message @shothisttech.bsky.social

💿 Aline Volynskaya and Fred Pailler research the history of the CD(-ROMS) @c2dh.uni.lu supervised by @valeriesch.bsky.social. They consider multimedia as a Gesamtkunstwerk and the CD as a medium to possess and hold multimedia whereby it functions as a (passive) container. Fascinating evolution!

After working on linking the Dutch Civil Registry in collaboration with @iisg-amsterdam.bsky.social at CLARIAH-NL I'm hoping to continue working on a linking belgian person observations. Reactions to the idea at the DHBeNeLux conference were positive!

First time appearing as an expert in Digital Humanities where it all started, celebrating 10 Years of the Digital Humanities Master at KULeuven. What a great trajectory it has been so far.
