The idea of tiered migraine prevention medications (first, second, third line, etc) is outdated. Physicians should discuss options with their patients to select the best possible candidate. I would never use Valproate as a β€œfirst line” med. www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/...

I’m not an MECFS expert but I find that SNRIs seem to help fatigue in my vestibular migraine patients. Definitely not 100% of course (nothing in medicine is) and a small number feel more fatigued on them

Recreational cannabis use may lower your risk of cognitive decline, study says Previous research suggests people with subjective cognitive decline are 2.5 times more likely to develop dementia.

A popular image of cannabis users is the slow-to-respond stoner. However, cannabis use (even recreational) has been linked to a 96% lower risk of cognitive decline. I wonder if the anti-inflammatory properties may be responsible for this interesting observation. fortune.com/well/2024/04...

And so, I formulated Trutyna MVI for people with migraine and vestibular migraine. It contains all 11 of these supplements at doses used for migraine prevention. Trutyna MVI is a more convenient and cost-effective option for those looking for natural migraine relief.

A huge frustration for many people (including myself) is that this would mean taking 11 separate supplements a day. Buying and taking 11 separate supplements a day is not only inconvenient but is also expensive.

There are a few studies that suggest that vitamin E, vitamin C, tryptophan, and zinc may be useful migraine prophylactics.

Vitamin B2 and magnesium have the most studies to support their use in migraine prevention. A smaller number of studies have shown that vitamin D3, coenzyme Q10, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, and folic acid are also potentially effective.

I am often asked about if supplements are useful for vestibular migraine and if so, which ones. Yes, supplements can be effective for preventing vestibular migraine. Much of what we know and use come from studies of people with migraine.
