My thoughts on the Scopes Trial Centennial YouTube video by Jonathan Marks

That's the face of John T. Scopes, and I made a 20-minute video about his 1925 trial that is a little bit different from the other Scopes Trial cCentennial videos.

As long as we're going to get rid of pennies, how about modifying the dime to say how much it is actually worth, rather than just saying "one dime," which is trivially obvious. The quarter says "quarter dollar" and the nickel says "five cents". The dime doesn't tell you what it's worth!

If we follow the ancient Roman poet Juvenal, the next six weeks will ripe for civil unrest, since the masses in the US will have neither bread (with grocery prices skyrocketing) nor circuses (Opening Day is not until March 27) to appease and distract them.

So the plan is to watch gas, food, and construction prices skyrocket next week, and the Dems can go, “Nyah nyah, See, I told you so!” And it was just around a century ago that Will Rogers said, “I belong to no organized political party. I’m a Democrat.”

So I guess the model is Russia in the 1990s. The system crashes, the corporate broligarchs fight over the rubble, and whoever doesn’t fall out of a window is the winner.

And with all the horrible national news, you’ve gotta admit that the GOP re-investigating January 6 to find out the truth, but not wanting to subpoena Cassidy Hutchinson because she has texts of GOP lawmakers hitting on her, is hilarious.

I generally don’t dabble in theological questions, but if the Dodgers had made a pact with Satan to win the World Series, what do you think the back end of the deal would look like?

You morons, you can't repeat the Gilded Age. That's not how history works--it only goes in one direction. Now let me take a big sip of coffee and make sure no nihilistic young Italians have built homemade weapons with which to assassinate robber barons.
