This kind of stuff really makes one realize how many moral concepts we take for granted are not only fairly recent but are still not a real norm in society in general, and it hurts to see, it hurts to hear, both from a far or a closer perspective or experience, it's just been tiring

I felt the need to write this because I don't know why it seems like each day there's just more and more news about people turning out to be so gross. One can only wish that there won't be any more victims, but why can't people just be decent human beings?

You can join a hobby group, volunteer or organize, do anything that leans into your interests ideally something that has some sort of community improvement slant. People are more likely to open up in those settings idk
Not going to respond to this post in my local subreddit but: community isn’t /dead/, it’s just become harder to find than it used to. It’s out there for people who are willing to look for it instead of complaining on Reddit
