When you set an alarm to wake up in time for a 9:00 call and at 8:25 check emails and it has been moved to next week. I wish people cancelled things with enough notice to let me get some decent sleep.

It didn’t take a genius to guess the Plan.

Starve our #NHS of money for 14 years until there were SEVEN MILLION people on waiting lists.

Then say "Hey, look, the NHS is failing. We need to reform/privatise it."

Our NHS is not failing.

It is BEING FAILED by politicians.

Found an employer who wants us all to behave like neurotypicals. Or am I reading this wrong?

It does make for an excellent example of how unevolved people and tech are in Greece and how absent the discipline of service design is.

I called my greek mobile provider to switch to an esim. Apparently it takes five working days and involves a postal courier. To deliver an eSim.
The home of absurdity and surrealism is now Greece.

(Was on phone 15min, they failed to do it, I’ll have to call again when I have more time to waste)

Moving to voxi has been an ordeal that is nowhere near complete. I just spent an hour chatting to them (waiting 5min for a reply and constantly prodding « what else do you need ») and they can’t move my number because my (first) name doesn’t (perfectly) match one on the account i am moving FROM.

Somehow it feels… « off ».

Talking to potential employer and « must be five days in the office ». I mention I am autistic and will need some reasonable accommodations. « Five days is a must ». Not inclusive then, are we? Let’s see how this goes.

I had turned it off earlier and it made zero difference. So I figured this release has a leak / glitch, and just removed it so I could safely get home last night.

Now curious to see if / when I might « need » to put it on my phone again, or if life is better without it.

I’ve uninstalled instagram. It was draining my battery like mad. You can see the battery running down while it was there and nicely flat after I deleted it. Not sure when I’ll reinstall it.

Finally managed to cancel. And noticed its offer of « three months for price of two » was actually two months. And. It had JUST rebilled me at full price yesterday without warning, or post-facto notification. Of course. #DeceptivePatterns

Linked in REALLY doesn’t want anyone cancelling their over-priced premium subscriptions. Had I not looked at @monzo.com I would not know it’s about to renew at full price. #DeceptivePatterns much??

In Athens for a little while and enjoying the HUGE and quite advanced tango scene. It is often brutal, especially if you spend three hours on a chair waiting to catch someone’s eye for an invitation, but when you do have a chance to dance and connect with a partner and the music it is bliss.

Am debating setting an automatic rule to delete any and all emails that come from no-reply addresses so that I will never again see an automated job rejection email.

Might be more fun trying to build an agent to automatically edit my Notion database when that garbage comes in.
