Her last post here was five months ago. I guess Bluesky users weren't keen followers.

The genocidal sh*thead needs to be locked up.

I was living in Canada when their Human Rights Act was introduced in 1977. Why is Australia so far behind Canada in so many ways?

Trump just jacked up tariffs against Australia by 50% (from 10 to 15%) as a late night reflex action to the Supreme Court decision. We matter so little in his world view. Can we stop pretending now, not a friend, not an ally.

I went out before today's Herzog protest at Parliament and saw this massive police surveillance tower. This is completely unnecessary, and intimidating, at a peaceful protest. Police need to be protecting protesters, not snooping on them, or attacking them.

I asked Defence where Major General King now works having recently left his job in the Department overseeing billions in contracts for companies like Lockheed Martin... can you guess where he went too?

It was a comfortable place that I frequented when I lived above a nearby vintage shop called Rialto, owned by New Zealander Jim Pope. I was managing another vintage shop at the time called Flying Down to Rio. A nice time to be in Toronto.

Sorry to hear that. I'm the author of a global trade history book being published this year by University of Toronto Press. It's the first Canadian-Australian history book, and it could not have been written without access to the resources of community archives in North America and Australasia.

And the reviews probably require additional, specialised consultants. It's endless.

This global heat map is extraordinary. Australian political leaders who pump out fossil fuels and ignore climate change are threatening our survival on this extraordinary continent.

BREAKING! WORLD FIRST! πŸ”₯Australia's public broadcaster publishes extended #AtlasNetwork explainer by Gareth Hutchens. When I went on ABC radio 3 years ago to talk about the global Atlas network of 550+ orgs, no one had heard of it. Atlas HQ wanted to keep it that way.

And these are just the ones we know about because the censorship happened after invitations to speakers were accepted. Imagine how much more censorship goes on, covertly or overtly, before program details are finalised and announced.

The US should not be allowed to make Australia complicit in nuclear war. 50 years ago Whitlam believed that and he was right.

It’s time to end AUKUS. Close Pine Gap.

Breaking: Hobart stadium shouldn't proceed, planning commission recommends The proposed Macquarie Point AFL stadium in Hobart should not proceed, a long-awaited assessment from the Tasmanian Planning Commission recommends.

"The stadium would 'diminish the economic welfare' of Tasmania (and) would have an 'irrevocable and unacceptable' impact on Hobart's landscape.

"The govt would need to accumulate $1 bil in debt for construction costs, which would rise to $1.8 bil over 10 years"

Govt proceeding anyway. Awesome.

If genocide isn't your redline, then you have no redlines.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge was closed temporarily as tens of thousands of Australians made their voices heard against Israel's genocide in Gaza. #FreePalestine #3E

The Advance Australia Open House post in your article is obviously American. Is all their Islamophobic material coming from the USA?

Rapacious sport scumbags like the AFL make a mockery of taxpayers β€” just look at the Tassie stadium chaos For decades, Big Sport has teamed up with the major political parties to gouge taxpayers. But for once, the rort has blown up in the face of the Tasmanian government.

A brilliant piece: β€˜The debacle has all the hallmarks of the rapacious gouging that big sports inflict on taxpayers’: the unnecessary sporting infrastructure, the support of the major parties, cost blowout, the abandonment of proper policy process, the big 4 at the trough….
