Started Friday with the ribbon cutting for the I-495 NEXT Express Lanes - this completes 94-miles of Express Lanes in Northern Virginia enhancing mobility & connectivity, and providing funding for multi-modal transportation options.

At the House Appropriations Committee off-site at @georgemasonu.bsky.social - Manassas. Got a chance to visit w/ Governor-elect @abigailspanberger.com as she gets a first-hand briefing on Virginia’s budget.

Started the week with an informative morning coffee with members of the ADAMS Center to discuss the recent elections and the upcoming session. 😊☕️ The community’s input is so valuable as we are now less than 60-days from the 2026 Session.

Congratulations to LGBT+ Democrats of Virginia endorsed candidate @deldavidreid.bsky.social on their victory! In this historic election, voters elected them to carry out the vision of Virginia being a place of economic opportunity, justice, and freedom for all.

Hard to believe yesterday’s Topping Out Ceremony for the $75M state-funded NoVA Science Center began in 2019, with me using sticky notes to ask for $2.3M in planning funds. By 2027, it’ll be VA’s largest investment in Loudoun County — bringing STEM learning to 300K+ students across the region.

Today, we honor the men and women who put service above self.
Their courage, commitment, and sacrifice have strengthened our nation and inspired generations to give back in their own communities.

As a member of the Privileges & Elections Committee, I voted to let Virginians fight back against Republican gerrymandering across the nation. Republican outrage is hollow & hypocritical after 20 years of partisan maps. Democrats have said enough & are ready to defend democracy.

As someone who grew up poor in the mountains of Virginia and knows food insecurity first-hand, it's time for the Republican led Congress to return to Washington, save healthcare, and make sure people don't go hungry.

Gorgeous day on the Potomac to take a demonstration ride on a 100% Candela electric hydrofoil. Their existing P12 ferry has the ability to move 30 commuters and visitors safely and quickly on Virginia’s waterways.

Back in Richmond today for the Appropriations Committee meeting. We rec’d an update on the ongoing uncertainty & negative impact the Federal shutdown is having on Virginia’s economy. We also rec’d a positive update on the increase in @wmata.com ridership & the construction of the NOVA Science Center
