The only reason it wouldn’t feel like such a strange difference is because most of our media is still pretending it’s 1995: working class people have houses, they only have one job, Covid never happened so the characters aren’t sick all time. Making a movie about living in 2025 would feel strange.

There was essentially zero coverage of the disabled protest to stop Medicaid cuts. Capitol police dragged protesters out, many in wheelchairs, and arrested 34 people. It was barely a blip on the news because nobody really cares about the disabled.
