It still stands today. My kids are 20, 17 and 15 and can see the effect on them.
Absolutely. We need to promote skills and talents and provide opportunities for all. We need to listen to our young people and support them into all areas of society. We are far too focused on academic achievement, which unfortunately is not for everyone and can lead to disengagement in learning.
This is such a great blog and makes such an important point. We need to understand our young people and bring the fun/agency into learning. We need to make it worthwhile and purposeful. We need to inspire and engage.
