I have an urge to go further than I’m capable of and then be annoyed that I can’t do it how I like so it’s 100% a me problem there!! Just hard to ever feel like a song is done when I’m never satisfied with the singing - sounds like a plan to take a step back to be able to go forward.

I came to singing stuff fairly late (44!) and I’m only really singing because that’s the only way of getting the songs out! I enjoy the process of recording and mixing but it’s hard to ever feel it’s “done” when I’m not 100% happy with the vocals.

How do you get past hating the sound of your own voice when mixing home recorded songs!?
