Nothing has annoyed more than the reload-gate “controversy” with Nancy in the last season.

Personally, I feel EA forced a feature complete but unfinished game out the door just to compete with a game for an audience they didn’t market towards

It was so nice, but it was plagued with problems that couldn’t be fixed

I actually liked Anthem, the base content was interesting and the general gameplay was good. It’s just they failed to follow-up or follow through with anything. It could have been another No Man’s Sky and come back better than ever. Instead it stagnated and died quietly rotting away in a corner

I really want to play a Ttrpg with people again, the last game I was in got derailed bc our dm wasn’t creative and *HAD* to follow the rewritten campaign we were playing without any deviation or changes

I think it’s alright to take some umbrage with a mechanic that has wonky timing, trust me there are a few boss fights that force you to use gradient counters and boy oh boy are all the the telegraphed super hard except 2 and both of them are incredibly wonky

Due to how it works, I feel the mechanic was meant to have a more cinematic feel, also gradient parries (usually) do untyped damage (or at least prepatch it did) which meant they always hit like trucks.
