There was sexism in Bernie circles. It was and is a big problem on the left. So is anti-intellectualism, anti-Blackness, and a whole host of other shit many of us refused to acknowledge when it was convenient not to to support our candidate.

We need to atone for that

I still would’ve voted for Bernie in the primary for sure. But a lot of us Bernie supporting men owe Elizabeth Warren a huge apology.

But jumped and leaped to back Biden when there was pressure on him to withdraw. It was some old ass white man solidarity shit. Not a good look for Uncle Bernie

Honestly in my male dominated profession if a woman came to me and told me something I said was offensive the apology would be immediate even if I didn’t recall the same thing.

There’s a difference between “I didn’t say that and you’re saying I said it” and “our recollections are different”

We already know they’re not gonna support her like they did Bernie. They’ve shown us that much.

Yes. It would’ve been NOT doubling down. Something Biden actually did better than Bernie! Biden apologized how many times for shit he said back in the day during the primary? It made the attacks on him not stick as well

That would require humility and a willingness to apologize. Bernie is a major hit or miss with that.

Yeah his explanation made sense and the accusation also didn’t match his character or persona in any way. They overplayed their hand when Allred immediately jumped on the story to save his own ass from losing in Dallas

Or a Black person couldnt win because of racism. In 2008 that comment came off as extremely racist

Then again I guess so was Bernie and so was Warren’s

Which we all know he never said 😂.

I think that landed differently though because Talarico was in a politically strong position and Crockett’s campaign was getting desperate.

I can def see a professional woman being enraged by that whole interaction and the online harassment cabal of bros calling her a snake afterwards to the point where Ilhan Omar had to jump in and defend Warren!

His campaign responded with shit like that with characteristic defensiveness and digging in their heels rather than being diplomatic about it, especially to a highly competent female political ally. It was a massive strategic blunder

Tbf he didn’t say a woman can’t be president as was reported. He said a woman couldn’t be elected because of sexism. That doesn’t make it ok. But it does make it a materially different claim.

No. It was like 23%. Pitiful.

The one and only time Michael Bloomberg has ever been held accountable in public for any of the horrific things he did as Mayor. The most racist and violent police force in the country, multiple women sexually harrassed and intimidated by him and his lawyers, etc

Remember when Michael Bloomberg ran for President and did one debate and Elizabeth Warren absolutely decapitated him live on stage?

Good times

My Jewish and Muslim family go through more grief and horror in their houses of worship than I could ever tolerate in my own, despite the long history of Black churches being bombed.

It’s so profoundly sick and evil

Yeah and no one loves him. So he doesn’t have anything but power and vanity. It’s truly Biblical when you think about it. It’s just like a hellish life

I will never understand why anyone with any ideological position, from Dianne Feinstein to Bernie Sanders to Jim Clyburn to Kay Granger, would want to run for office in their eighties

MIA: The New Mexico GOP The state party won’t field candidates in key statewide races, marking a low point in a yearslong atrophy.

After running a leading state legislature candidate who raised money from drug dealers and hired hit men to assassinate his Democratic opponent, the New Mexico GOP is so thoroughly discredited that it has all-but disappeared. www.nationaljournal.com/s/731201/mia...
