This is my very first fully made cosplay and it’s made entirely of yarn! I started it when I had only been crocheting for 6 months, inspired by the guild. It took 5 months, 370 hours and over 5000 meters of yarn!

I got my post-appointment letter from my neurologist and my god, it’s perfect.

I’ve never had a doctor respect me and my knowledge and listen and most importantly BELIEVE everything I’m experiencing.

It’s so nice to feel validated for once.

When I started, I had been crocheting roughly 5 months & never made any garment before. The amount I learned has been astounding!

I faced challenges & set-backs due to ever changing disability which affects my hands & can fully paralyse me, as well as also going through heavy grief.

I did it!

5 months, 350 hours work, I debuted my crocheted & hand-sewn Aerith at @kupocon.com

Except for jacket hardware & ribbon on the dress, the entire thing, including the wig & jewellery were made from yarn. I used over 5000 meters on yarn in total 🤯
