Delighted to be a part of the 225 Film Club again this year, the amazing Rita Osei’s short film festival promoting women directors. I got to watch and review all 15 fantastic short films:

I love fake arguments in my head. No one interrupts me and I’m the most eloquent arguer who ever lived. It must be how the very first people on social media felt.
😆 this is Jag enjoying his first Christmas last year…
Thank you! Good to see you too 😁 I just stopped tweeting 1 day nearly 2 years ago then occasionally lurked. I think I just got a bit fed up of social media. I hope you’re enjoying life outside the capital - I feel I absolutely have to live within easy travelling distance then hardly ever go there 😬
My son wanted to see The Nutcracker today, he hadn’t been to a ballet before and 10 minutes in he leant over and staged whispered “ARE THERE ANY WORDS IN THIS”
Just a reminder about the @filmcritics.org.uk Christmas drinks next Saturday! 🥂🎄Please share! 🥳
❤️ My son still asks me to “make that Christmas cake where Santa gets killed, Mum!”
😆 I wrote a whole article for my site years ago about why John Wick is a Christmas movie!

What are four Christmas movies to know you by?
Looks amazing! And happy birthday! X
Just a nerd writing you a letter.
All RTs / shares appreciated. Thank you! #Noirvember
Trust me when I say these things:
1. You’ll wanna see #Nosferatu in a theater - not streaming.
2. You’ll wanna see it on the biggest screen available.
3. Don’t dare go alone, because you’ll wanna chat w/ folks about it after.
4. This specialty movie poster is a beaut!

They are - not chucking those out.
But more important than my Cannes Film Festival memorabilia, I found the John Wick and Withnail & I wooden spoons my friend had made for me.
I was having a clearout today and came across these! Can’t believe I went abroad to film festivals. I barely have time to get to my local cinema now. Might make myself a little lanyard next time I go.
Since I’ve become a mum I worry they’ll be cold.
It’s just not scary. And I bet they didn’t even use Beelzebub when they were doing the Bs.
That was great. Loved how they work to put you at ease too x
I’ve been out of the movie loop so long the last film I reviewed was, er, Monty Python And The Holy Grail

Trying not to let out a scream when you bite into a raisin Revel during a sad scene.
When I do this I always end up feeling very self conscious and then have to quietly suck the chocolate off my maltesers which is no fun at all.
God that must be 30 years ago.
The Pompeii bread bun!
Me neither. I never really get to see musical theatre - it’s just not on my radar plus I’m useless at booking things months ahead as I still have that 80s thing of “but the world will have been annihilated by then so not much point” so it’s all passing me by. (Sorry not much help!)
Do you remember our Christmas Eve watch at the Tyneside cinema surrounded by shopping bags after a massive festive lunch 🤣🎄
Perusing my newly-discovered Discover feed and it’s all attractive fungi, squirrels and pictures of grey planets that look like bread buns dug out of Pompeii.
