Yup. I was on the Leelanau peninsula in Michigan. Very far from the tricolor's range in California. And this bird was not alone, just the one I posted. So not a rare bird 2000 miles out of range.
Pretty sure. The lower stripe was more yellow than white. Any other clues?
This was on the shores of northern Lake Michigan. Seems the tricolored is a west coast bird?
