My childhood hero who inspired me from an early age to fight for what is right and stand up against bilge bags and toerags. A woman who continues to be an inspiration now I'm older and know just how right on and savvy she is in real life too. I first met Sophie in the flesh by accident, walking down the street in Edinburgh. I broke my longstanding rule for the first and only time, as I couldn't NOT quietly say hello and tell.her she's awesome. To my delight she stopped for a quick natter. We met again a few years later just before the world stopped for Covid, and then again earlier this year, when she told me about her new book. I mentioned my Ace inspired jacket in Happiness Patrol pink and her eyes lit up - suddenly she was as excited as I was meeting her! Hopefully our paths will cross again in the future. I'd love to sit down for a proper chat one day. What a legend, and I am so so honoured to now be a tiny part of her legacy. 💙💙
