Mom started radiation therapy today. To say the insurance company has been shitty is an understatement. So she is not doing 3 days a week chemo and 5 days a week Radiation therapy. She seems to be handling it very well.
Mom had her first day of feeling the effects from the chemo Sunday. So took a large amount of food over to her and just made sure she was comfortable. All in all not bad but I know things will get worse as it goes on.
Celebrated my birthday last night with the family. It was really special considering the good news we got for mom on Friday night. After taking the picture someone pointed out that apparently I’m the Buddy Elf of my family
My mom has been diagnosed with Colon, Liver and Lung cancer. Obviously we’re all devastated and scared by this unexpected news. We’re hoping and praying they caught it early and that she has some viable options. Definitely not the way we wanted to spend Halloween. 😞
