This clock stopped working long ago, but is now a cozy home to a diligent little spider. This is my most intricate spider artwork to date and contains laser cut metallic paper gears weathered with acrylic paints, laser etched spider webs on non-reflective acrylic, and a tiny watercolor painted spider.

This paper clock and spider artwork is framed in a vintage, gothic style, wooden clock case. The convex glass is actually broken, which gave me the inspiration for this piece, but the broken glass has been stabilized and filed down at the open edges for safety. This is a piece that really has to be seen in person as the layers of Optium Museum Acrylic are practically invisible and really make the webs look like they’re floating.

I’m working on something a bit different for my Every Day Original tomorrow! This one is extremely intricate with layered metallic paper gears, lots of different types of papers and interesting textures. I’ve especially loved adding all the weathering effects!

Oh, thank you. I worked within the commission guidelines, but added some of my own ideas. I’m glad it all came out well and that the client was happy with the results. I definitely put a lot of thought and energy into the project.

There’s still a couple of days left to get one of my cyanotype tiger bandanas from Valkarie Gallery! I had so much fun experimenting with these and had so many favorites I wish I could have kept!

These fun fireflies are still looking for good homes! They are miniature windows to the woods at just 3.5” x 4.5” with glow in the dark fireflies and paper oak leaves. I kept them small and affordable, so hopefully they’ll find a place to live soon!

These two pairs of manta rays are looking for good homes! The water glass isn’t as textured as the acrylic on the other pieces, but casts lovely shapes in the light and shows off the details of the rays better. They will be up at Valkarie Gallery through the end of the week!

I still have some wall hanging dragon guardians available through Valkarie Gallery! The dragons are cast in resin with chameleon color shifting pigment powders. The backers are laser cut from wood and acrylic, and have a keyhole hanger on the back. I hope you love them as much as I do!

‘Lottie’ is now available at Valkarie Gallery! She and her sister ‘Lettie’ are painted on wood veneer rather than watercolor paper, to echo the beauty of hand carved wooden horses. They are both still looking for good homes!
