Bryn Cader Faner, which is a Bronze Age round cairn

I’ve been staying in Dyffryn Ardudwy at an artist residency, gathering inspiration for an art exhibition at Oriel Tŷ Meirion in April to August. The exhibition is based on the Taith Ardudwy Way, an ancient pathway.

This is the first part of the walk, visiting Bryn Cader Faner, a Bronze Age cairn.

I did this acrylic painting for a winter exhibition (still on) at Ty Meirion gallery, in Dyffryn Ardudwy, Wales.

Mari Lwyd is a wassailing folk custom, where a horse skull is carried from door to door in Wales, whilst the party sing and dance.

I adopted Duncan and Gracie from Romania. They’re about 7 months old. They fit in well with my two there, Hamish and Willow. All snuggling on the sofa after dinner 😍😍😍
