This show was brought to mind recently when @cisgenderstudies.bsky.social mentioned it when talking about how The New Yorker profiled Patrick Schneeweis aka Pat the Bunny, lead singer/songwriter of Johnny Hobo and many other bands, currently in @friendsinreallife.bsky.social

This was the first show Johnny Hobo ever played outside of VT. Audio recordings exist of the whole show and Spoonboy, The Lanterns and Johnny Hobo sets are linked below.

2005 flyer for a folk-punk show at a vacant office space on middle st in Portland. I believe Spoonboy was the instigating artist for this one and the other acts were local/regional folks who @samn thought would be a good match. I remember this show well, although I lost the photos I took.

The Brood was an all women garage-punk band from Portland, Chris Horne from this band is still playing shows regularly with her newer band Tiger Bomb. I don’t know anything about Have Not, so please fill in that blank if you can. From the collection of Lenny Smith and Jordan Kratz

2 1993 fliers for Tribe 8 playing at Zootz with local support from The Brood and Have Not. I’ve got both the show flier and the ledger size color poster from the this Tribe 8 tour. Tribe 8 was a pretty early queercore band from SF.

Flyer of unknown origin and date. I'm guessing 1990s? Maybe Y2k? I sure am glad it's not more relevant than ever in today's climate πŸ™„. From the collection of Lenny Smith and Jordan Kratz.

Had to dig out the flier for that show. Almost exactly 20 years ago. I emailed Pat about 6 months ago, and he reminded me that this was his first show outside of VT.

A selection of photos of The Pontiffs from the collection of Gina Brown . The Pontiffs were a punky rock n roll band started by Kip Brown in 1991 that continued until the 2000s. They had a large catalog of original tunes, but never released any recordings that I'm aware of.

1990s flier from 3 shows at The Cybernaculum in Portland. The first posting from the @lenny.smith.73 / Jordan Kratz combined archive. The Cybernaculum remains a bit of a mystery, I’m fairly certain it was around for less than a year, but I’ve seen stuff from there dated 1991-1994.

A real mystery flier from the collection of Skummy Bob Farrington. I don't know these bands, I don't know The Funhouse, no idea what year this is from, or even the date on that year. Might not even be a Maine flier (about 10% of his collection was out of Maine, mostly NH).
