This weeks dinner highlight had to be this beef #burritobowl with guac, pico, pepper, rice, and quick pickled onion. This one was plated by my wonderful partner because my plate was a sloppy mess πŸ˜‚πŸŒΆοΈ

The wellington cut open. The centre of the meat is nice and pink, browning up towards the edges of the fillet. It is wrapped in mushroom, Parma ham and of course the flaky pasty (which I admit did not massively puff)

Made some pasties with my fella this weekend πŸ‘ŒπŸ» honestly not my fave flavour but as it was our first stab and he’s a Devon native we decided to go classic. I couldn’t quite get to grips on the crimping but I’m sure I’ll have another go soon!

Croissant update! I’m thrilled with the result! I thought my butter had smooshed too much in all the folding but they turned out great! I’m super proud. I’ve wanted to make these for 2 years but was intimidated by all the steps. Goes to show things are always worth trying, even if they look hard.

A garlic plate I made for my boyfriend for Christmas last year. (Replacing the one he bought at a market which his cat decided to push off the counter!)

It’s such a joyful shade of yellow isn’t it! I’ve not quite ventured into my own glazes yet so just commercial, it’s Terra Color FE 5209 - Sunflower. 😊
