and those are in color, right? So there's that. The b&w feels more archival and shows just how great the pencils & inks are, but to me, the best are the actual 4 color press newsprint paper reissues, which capture the pulp nature of the whole package, as i was when it came out.

I'd have to teach myself, which was kinda the point, but it would have delayed getting it WORKING and BEING USED in the kitchen. I use it every day; it's one of my more successful hare-brained schemes.

oh,you can push the chunky, satisfying buttons! I disabled the coin-lock on them, but kept them pressable. Same with the volume buttons; I had to reassemble it after taking out the coin-op lock, but if you press one, it stays in & pushes the other one back out. It was a fun project.

yeah! I scored it on Craigslist for 25 bucks a while back & gutted it & polished it up & made it into an alexa device.

(The girl was muslim with a hijab, so that was also probably triggering to him.)
