What a difference a few mins makes in the Peaks. One minute biblical. The next sunshine! ⛈️☀️
We timed it perfectly yesterday for a cracking afternoons guided ride with a group of youngsters. Great group of lads.👌🏻🤙🏻

Another weekend spent with the @gloriousgravel crew, but this time at #sherwoodpines.
Route signing on Friday, followed by lots of chats, laughs, & a few mechanical issues on the Saturday at my feed stop. 👌🏻🤙🏻

Strapped some new rubber to the big girl and went for a ride on a local trail I’ve not ridden for a while.
I had no idea a #tamevalleyloop had finally been created for bikes. I’ll certainly aim to add it on to this ride next time.

I’ll have to go back and explore the forest a bit more. Plenty of #gloriousgravel. Plenty of #mtbtrails.

The final day of their King Alfred’s Way Ride had its moments. Punctures. Repairs. Great gravel. Rolling roads. Views for miles. The list goes on.

We’re back at the The Quiet Site for a weekend away. It’s the perfect place to test my new Aeroe Handlebar Cradle.
What a super bit of kit. It handled all the climbing & descending up to the trig on #loadpothill without a wobble! Very impressed. 👏

The view from #whinstoneleetor looking out over #ladybowerreservoir has to be one of the most photographed views in the Peak District!😍
On days like these it’s well worth the climb up, and for the epic descent down….whichever way you’re going!🤙🏻👌🏻

I can’t even imagine how many people it took to create the spectacular Derwent Dam!
Built between 1902 and 1916 with no modern machinery, just craftsmen that possibly overbuilt it, it’s a staggering piece of engineering. 👌🏻

It’s shocking to see how low the water levels are in all the local reservoirs. But, it does look quite cool to see all the grass & numerous bushes growing where they probably once were before the reservoirs were built.🤷🏻‍♂️

Lots of recent riding in vile weather has meant the phone has stayed well & truly in the pocket. But I’ve still been commuting by bike!
Which brings me to reason number 2️⃣ to #commutebybike …… it’s an easy way to fit some exercise into your day.

The number 1️⃣ reason to #commutebybike above all else is it’s FUN!
Unless you ❤️ traffic jams, or having your face stuck in someone’s armpit on public transport (if it’s even running), cycling is a much more fun way to get about!👌🏻🤙🏻

A very late cancellation today meant I had some time for a #soloride around Ladybower Reservoir.
Typical of the Peaks the weather went from wet, to warm, back to wet, but I still came back smiling regardless. Bikes have a habit of doing that! 😬🤙🏻

First time on the #roadbike since working the LEJOG tour.
All good until I got clipped by a car! No damage, just a few bruises, but nonetheless it’s still shockingly bad driving!

My final ride day of this #lejog tour. Day 13 - Inverness to Crask.
Woke up feeling terrible, full of the lurgy, which obviously got worse throughout the day. So chilled and kept well away from all the riders so they can smash the final leg tomorrow! ✌🏻🤙🏻

The tour that keeps on giving. A lovely climb up #devilsbeeftub for some wonderful views, & of course awesome descents. Then a diversion to A & E after a rider mishap. Followed by a ride to base with a dead phone & a #garmin that had a mind of its own.

Day 7 of this LEJOG Tour was another wet one for the riders (my first), but I had an absolute blast. My inner mountain biker made the most of the wet weather. Another cracking day on the bike!👌🏻🤙🏻
