It's obviously a bad thing if any prisoner is released by mistake, but why is it worse if it's an asylum-seeker?

It seems just to be taken for granted now that someone is more dangerous because they're an asylum-seeker than because they're a criminal.

Something very dangerous is building here.

Oh sure, Mahmood likes to make her bold, bullshit claims, like saying how "working illegally is a pull factor", but with absolutely everything she, and this government does, they show complete contempt for the lives of vulnerable individuals and the basis of protection.

This government has further weakened protections for modern slavery and trafficking victims. Returning them to France doesn't change their circumstances, it just leaves them at more risk of being trafficked again. Gangs don't just shrug their shoulders and move on, the find and re-traffic people.

I keep seeing people say the "one in one out deal sets a precedent for safe routes". It doesn't, in any way. Ability to access the "in" is so restrictive it makes it unusable for many who need it, and the "out" can only be implemented by reducing protection for trafficking and modern slavery victims

Yeah, slight issue with this. The individual in question made a claim that they were trafficked. That means they didn't pay up front. That means that payment is taken via long term exploitation via gangs, gangs which the Home Secretary just returned them to. Slow clap.

If you do talk during a feature length, then the other people in the cinema should (as often has happened in films I've been watching) have the right to yell at you to "shut the fuck up" until you either do, or leave, whichever comes first.
