On Easter Monday, I made it to the Roihuvuori to check on the cherry blossoms after seeing other posts online. Also, I finally remembered to check *before* the Hanami festival is organized since it's impossible to predict peak bloom conditions.

Only a small number of blossoms on one tree so far.

This evening, I walked out expecting the classic feeling of ~8C and light rain. Had a proper bit of shock at how warm it felt.

Really, my Calendar is the only thing that lasts, combined with trying to be a bit ruthless on what actually gets put on there; or getting comfortable with letting things go.

I hope all of those laid off land on their feet. This situation sucks on all of the levels.

If they're interested, I hope they can also find ways to continue the mission of working for the benefit of the American People.

Everyone saying these folks should start a FOR profit consultancy so they can rake the pockets when the feds come crying back are missing a big point.

One major, major purpose of DOGE's rampaging through the system is to ingrain more situations just like this. Gov't run by private companies. $$$$$

At some point I wanted to log my antinodes in a manner like the tutorial to visually confirm my approach. In that case it happens to matter if you're adding or subtracting the Delta from an antenna. Not a factor in getting either part right though.

This sums up my feelings pretty well. It's surprising how well modern tech runs. If I build a well provisioned machine in 2024 with Windows 11 it better damn well still be running fine in 2037.
