Right! It's so scammy to be charging writers for (probably) AI reviews! I have a new found love for BookSirens since this happened, simply because they vet their authors and ARC readers, and their reviews are by real people who actually read the book. The bar is in hell 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Well, they issued me a refund and deleted my account, but made no mention about any of my concerns or stopping their bot-like reviewers from posting, so I guess they're leaving it to me to report any that get posted. Scumbags. They are literally running an exploitative scam. I'm so pissed off 😠😂

So yeah, Booksprout sucks 😂 I’ve had a great experience with Booksirens. Yes, the reviews take a while, because people are vetted first and genuinely read and engage with the book. I’m shocked Booksprout are legally allowed to take authors' money to let bots post fake reviews for them… Disgusting.

Obviously, this is concerning. I don’t want bot-like reviews on my book pages! So I emailed them, and their response was appalling, so I emailed them again, asking them to remove my book and ensure these reviews don’t go live. I don’t know if they’ll actually do it, but 🤞 Emails below.

At first, it seemed great. I posted my book and had 9 takers very quickly. My book is LONG, but 24 hours later, I had a review already, which I thought was odd… THIS is the review…

I’ve been using some ARC review sites, and some have been great, but I just had a HORRIFIC experience with Booksprout, so thought I would post about it here, just in case somebody sees it and it stops them from falling into the trap.

🤣 I'm not sure if I'm cut out for guides, but I might make a video about this, because I looked everywhere, and as far as I could find there isn't anything about keeping Karlach and Wyll when taking the Grove. I was actually shocked when my weird idea worked out 😂

There is no justification for killing wolves — wolf hunts are trophy hunts.

Wolves live in balance with nature — they aren’t a threat to people or livestock.

Wolves are worth far more alive than dead and support balanced, healthy ecosystems. Empathy is the way forward.

I stopped knocking her out ages ago and just kill her with good characters now, because you lose so much of her content and don't get the full Minty experience. I almost always take the grove with bad/morally grey characters, but I hate not having Karlach. Now I can keep her 🥰

I couldn't find any solution at all online so I spent the evening experimenting ways in bg3 to take the grove with Minthara whilst not losing Karlach and Wyll and... I did it! I found a way! 🤭 It's pretty damn long winded but I'll explain it if anyone wants to know 😂👍🏼

My book is now available on Apple Books, Kobo, and Barnes and Noble! (although I won't sell print copies on B&N right now because they don't send proofs to the UK, and I refuse to sell something I can't inspect and approve first!) It will be on Google Books too, but they are slow af 😅🥰📖

I managed it with Adobe yesterday but it was a pain, so that's good to know for next time. Thank you! 😊

I'm losing my mind trying to set my book up on all of these other platforms. One doesn't recognise my bank so can't continue until they get back to me, Apple is an absolute shit show, and now I have to fill in some tax form which is only available as a pdf, so having to fuck around with Adobe 😩

My KDP Select expired yesterday, so today I'm putting my book up for sale in other paces. I worry a bit because I got quite a few page reads, so I suppose this is more of an experiment. If it doesn't make a difference to sales in the next month I'll switch back to Amazon only 🤪

I did it! I completed the game solo! She overcame her dark urge, but then killed the emperor and became absolute 🤣 I had an ending I've not seen before too! I had to roll to stop becoming a mindflayer because I've snacked on so many worms, then chose to rebuild the city which was oddly disturbing 😳🤣

It was close there at the end but... I just soloed Raphael 🤭 he was the thing I was most worried about so I'm a bit more confident about the rest of the game now 😁💪🏼 poor hope didn't make it though. Everything was piling on her with no other companions...

I'm playing as a sneaky multiclass (5 ranger, 5 rogue, going to put the last 2 in fighter) and good Dark Urge just for the cloak, and she is INSANE 😂 she also just ate the big tadpole so that should help with act 3! 💪🏼
