i think that'll be my next move if they ignore my report 😫 we spoke to our maintenance guy a few months ago and he said the complex was "waiting til they had more residents' reports" to actually do anything. so i guess somehow they think it's wise to wait til there's MORE raccoons??

sadly no, it seems to be accessing the space above the top floor through the awning over the front door downstairs, so i don't think there's an access point that anybody besides maintenance could get into 😥 i'm guessing they've been ignoring reports because it'd be a hassle to get somebody in there

i have no idea what to do beyond reporting it again, not sure if there's some higher authority i can contact about this but it's getting absurd

there's a racoon living in the ceiling of my apartment that we've reported to the complex many times over the past few years, and tonight he started squaring up with some other animal. their scuffle was so loud and intense i genuinely thought they might fall through into our living room

this isn't as fun as some others BUT

if you're sharing your comic for free, someone's gonna complain about something unimportant at some point, the schedule, the style, a color choice etc. and I NEED you to know

that you can tell them to give you a million dollars to do it to their specifications

i also think it can be helpful to prevent that feeling of "damn i want my style to look like 500 different things at once" by grouping things into coherent categories and analyzing them one at a time instead of all together

i have an inspiration folder that's categorized by all kinds of things (color, clothing, style, lighting, texture, atmosphere, you name it) and it's got all kinds of stuff in there. it's like having a second brain that i can analyze when i don't understand my own wants artistically

if i'm stuck in a rut where i want to improve but i'm not sure how, i make an effort to look at art that inspires me and figure out Why it inspires me. sometimes that can be jotting down notes or doing a master study or even just compiling lots of inspiring art together to see what connects them all
