Oh and trees and birds and many telegraph poles, hills and pylons. And I have written words to accompany the drawing every day.

Poor Jane has already had her face melted by me. The fur fam has already featured. As has a terrifying digital sketch of Claudia done while watching the Traitors (my delicious, guilty pleasure).

In terms of drawing, so far I have done: many terrible botch sketches. Some experiments. Some live drawing. I have even done one or two pictures that I actually like.

I put this flurry of drawing down to 1st day over enthusiasm. Rest assured there will be plenty of days in the coming weeks and months when a scribble on a post-it will be as good as it gets. But let's celebrate while we may.

Christmas continues into the weird few days before new year. Some years I have to work these. Some years I don't. Whatever, they are some of my fave days of the year. They have a bumbling/low stakes/ expansive quality that brings new ideas and excitements.
