Workshop "Functionalism in Philosophy of the Sciences" - Department of Philosophy, Classics, History of Art and Ideas Functionalism is a tool that is useful across many areas of science, and in the philosophy of science. What can we learn from its use in these different areas?

So truly happy to be back in Oslo for this workshop on Functionalism, my very cup of tea! Presenting a work with Lorenzo Lorenzetti. www.hf.uio.no/ifikk/englis... #CPS @assemblinglife.bsky.social #FunMo

The self is an illusion, subjectivity is the smoke and the mirrors, agency is the person behind the curtain, and individuation is the plot one haphazardly throws together to make sense of a dream.

Philosophy destroyed my life and took away every hope I had. It made me into an outcast, and I've been told multiple times that I should give up on it. It has shown me only failure, but I guess I'm still doing it anyways. Happy World Philosophy Day.

New on my blog: I posted a paper I wrote earlier this year, “Merleau-Ponty’s Ontology of Sense and Non-Sense.” I’m pretty proud of it and plan to include it in a future edition of my book. It talks a little about Hegel; that’s an area I’m still planning on diving into further on a future blog post.
