my hot take regarding art about bad people is that you cannot make art that is morally upright enough that fascists will not co-opt it, and if you let that stop you from making art about villains, antiheroes, & fascists then you then remove art's ability to be a place where we can think about evil
if you take into account the fascist ability to misinterpret art in your creation of it, i think you ultimately are forced to the conclusion that art about ugliness is simply too dangerous to be made. when you should instead be worried about the people making that danger.
That is a 1995-ass, Expanded Universe-ass, Bantam-ass, Kevin J. Anderson-ass Star War right there, and I am not too cool for that.
