Took myself to go see Fantastic Four. The movie was loads of fun, as was remembering that I actually really like solo movie dates! Especially immediately post-San Diego, which is maybe the only time of year I really appreciate not engaging with anyone else.

I spent a surprising amount of time this SDCC having intense conversations about musical theater and opera. I even got to dive into my extensive lists of favorite musicals of stage, screen after 1960 and screen up to 1960. Feeling very good about this confluence of fandoms!

I don’t love waiting at SFO at 12:30 am, but after several days of San Diego I sure am enjoying being outside in less than 60° wind. I’m so not built for even moderately warm weather!

My subconscious really tapped into being at the con last night. I had a dream that I was giving design notes on funkos being made of some of my friends.

I think some people have trouble seeing fascism as anything other than 1940s Germany.

But I think 'people going to a comic convention needing to have a plan in case the government's goons show up to disappear people' is a pretty good demonstration of what it can look like in 2025.
