I always enjoys these!
How ironic that the word "quiet" is misspelled!
The "SAVE Act" bill goes to the Senate next; we all need to put pressure on our Senators to reject this!
May I ask where this photo was taken?
Read the book "The Other Einstein". Very disturbing.
Homer, Alaska ICE Out and Standing With Minnesota rally today.
Frey: "In Mpls, we heard them say they'll end this siege when we hand over voter rolls. The DOJ is being used as a weapon. They're investigating me and several other local elected officials not because we've done something wrong because we speak on behalf of our constituents.
Thank you for helping to show us the way, Minneapolis
Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him.
“When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."
What we are seeing in Minnesota is what authoritarianism looks like in real time. Racism, dehumanization, and state-sanctioned violence are tearing at the foundation of this country.
Thanks for posting this photo! I have yet to visit Newgrange; I should plan for a visit the next time I am in Ireland!
I love that President Obama has been posting happy and uplifting videos lately. Thank you so much! We need this right now. To know that there is still hope and joy in the world and good people spreading it!
I’m so proud of the talented Leo High School Choir and all they are doing to represent the South Side of Chicago!
I agree! The amount of apathy, or "I can't handle this anymore so I am pretending its not happening" attitude alarms me.
It really is hard to comprehend! I try and try, looking at it from different angles, but I always come back to "they voted for a crazed criminal", and now we all suffer the consequences.
AMEN!!!!
The President of the United States just called for my arrest and execution.
In these moments, fear is contagious, but so is courage:
Ahead of Veterans Day, I was honored to welcome a flight of veterans and their families as they arrived in DC.
Melts my heart...
Yes, I know about the senior discounts, but those are not part of a Federal program. I have been a vendor that took SNAP as payment and it is very well spelled out: any violations and you are liable. If the shopper identifies as a SNAP recipient, voila. I am am not saying that it's right.
Believe me, there is no dignity in being hungry...
You would think so, but Federal programs are heavily regulated, with stringent rules. If rules are violated, you can be fined and/or lose the ability to participate in the program. If participating stores offer special pricing for a certain group of people, they must offer it to all people.
My guess is something is smeared on the screen that the kitten finds irresistible!
Thank you Congressman Neguse for laying it plain.
Damn, this is so powerful. MeidasTouch nailed it.
It's simple: he wants to be able to blame the Democrats for the suffering.
I am confused by this: if they are old enough to retire, then they should be on Medicare. Medicare is not affected by the ACA. As far as I know, you become eligible for Medicare at the age of 65. I do know some people are able to retire younger, but most of us don't have that luxury!
Um, aren't we all, as U.S. citizens, somewhat dependent on our government in some form or another? I would urge him to attend the next rally and talk to the real people who care enough to show up: everyday, hardworking citizens who pay taxes.
Morning voice?
Nothing wrong with Saltines and ginger ale!
