It's International Owl Awareness Day!
Lots of bog owls (AKA short-eared owls) live around us. Last year a group of 7 or 8 of them flew up from the road ahead of us. And then this happened...

Forgive me pushing my zines again, we are into the final hurdle and they're almost all gone :). They're £10 (including postage - UK only I'm afraid) and feature lots of beautifully romantic ruins crumbling away in the North Pennines.

Ordered! I spy several places (Groverake, Slit Mine, Sikehead, ...) within walking distance of our house.
This still makes more sense than ever other "American makes cup of tea" video I've ever seen.
Last time I was there (25+ years ago), we were in a box, throwing rolls at the people below. I'm not proud. Mind you, the only alternative was to watch the cricket 😉
