Revas bent down and kissed Lara deeply, lifting her upward against him, his tail wrapping around her waist. For a breath the glitter of the goddess magic stayed upon them and amethyst crystals grew up around his feet, making a semicircle of purple pillars.

“Sylaise…” Revas nearly mumbled looking downward. “I am…well, I am only a humble flawed man who-“ He caught himself and looked at Lara, a darker purple flushing his worn face. “We would ask for your blessing…on our marriage. I have made many mistakes… but I wish to give my dearest everything…”

“Yes.” Revas agreed too without a breath, squeezing Lara’s hand again gently. “With all my freewill, heart and soul…As I died once before, I pictured her face…” He looked from Lara to the goddess, her form almost too bright for his dragonlike vision. “My form may be cursed but my human heart beats.
