I fundamentally don’t believe (or see) an intent to change the politics/nature of the US via mass immigration.

Study after study (nor the GOP) has found no evidence of illegals voting. And there is no path to citizenship for the vast majority who come.

Fair to debate if that was enough or too loose and what changes were needed. But, again, respect for and compliance with the constitution and law should be fundamental.

Not defending everything done by the Biden administration by a long way but I will say is they were not evil. Incompetent and misguided in some areas sure. Evil - no.

That’s the major defining difference between Biden and Trumps administration. This administration IS doing things that are ‘evil’.

And I don’t think everything the Biden admin did was right. I do think they got things wrong around immigration.

But non of that is justification for an authoritarian regime ignoring our constitution and breaking the law.

In the last year of the Biden term (2024) 271,000 illegals were deported. The highest annual total in a decade.

Enforcement was happening. Maybe we can more - fair to debate. But it has to within our laws. Not happy with the laws, change them.

The border was not ‘open’ - we’ve been controlling the borders and deporting people for many years.

And even if more enforcement needs to happen that has to be within the framework of our constitution and laws.

If the Gvt can ignore the constitution for one group of people, they can do it to you.

How could the Democrats have stopped him? They are in the minority in both House and Trump is in the White House.
