oh you can see the squirrel going along the open ground from left to right.
we are watching coda from under the deck. He’s keeping his eye on things and then all of a sudden he gets up and he’s printing around that must be a squirrel came in the yard for a little bit probably up in a tree.
there is rarely a dull moment on the Koda cam.
sleepy Eris on the sofa Koda is outside….
happy to see a happy Corti
Hi Lesli- Eris chewed up my long coat brush and they don’t sell that one anymore. @calithemali.bsky.social
Can you recommend one your breeder uses or you use in your comfort canines with the long coats?
Thanks Koda
*form appeal denial letter. pardon
Yes, they put that and in the appeal letter it was not addressed. and no oncologist looked at it from the insurance company. Feels like they just did a form appeal.
I think I can go to the state board but it sounds like I will loose. Healthcare is not “first do no harm” it is “first try the cheapest”
wonderful. is this on a go pro or camera you wear?
A little progress over the past several days. The first practice was better, but did not actually press record. There was a critter at the end, but he was a very good boy. Hes squeaking a ball most of the way.
I’m all out of appeals the insurance company ignored the fact of my late stage cancer survivor status with a big amount of lymph nodes removed. The two reasons the cheap treatments are bad for me. General auto immune treatments need lymph nodes.
so it will keep progressing-she may end up in a wheelchair or she could risk death and then she wouldn’t be around to take care of us or even give us pets. It’s a hard decision. Of course there is another decision. The health insurance company could pay for a safe treatment they refuse.
yes. Is your disease treatable? And are you able to get treatment?
has this treatment stopped the progression? I was hoping to get more treatment to stop the progression. I’ll have to see where this ends.
good morning everyone we went to the Playfield last night and today it’s a much better day currently. I think Mom is coming to terms with the fact that she’s not going to be able to treat her disease without high risk of cancer recurrence. right now that means she won’t treat it.
research shows that a good game of search 30 minutes of search is the equivalent of an hour of fetch
of course he won’t know the game that you’re playing so you have to make the treats really easy to find at first. Just let him see you place some on the ground then let him search. The key here is to say “search” or another word and that will help him learn then you can keep making it harder.
that’s OK that he doesn’t play ball or fetch it causes more injuries in so many dogs and those injuries are really expensive and lifelong. What about nose work you can start with simple no work just go out in your yard. Leave him inside and hide some treats. Let him use his nose to find.
thank you
I’m sorry. That must be very hard. He is very excited and is forgetting how mom needs him to walk. He is not ok to run is that correct?
I’m amazed you can walk him with crutches.
i hope Kojo has a big piece of property to run on or can go to a Sniff Spot sometimes. Do you have Sniff Spots near you? We only go to ones with no other dogs viable and that are fully fenced.
they are all cheap*
the drugs are all really bad for cancer survivors with lymph nodes removed.
thanks, they want me to do four other drugs first. My employer-based healthcare last year approved IVIG after appeal (we shared my cancer history and all the lymph nodes I had removed) showing that IVIG is the safest & best treatment. This health plan rejected those arguments.
thank you
thank you Rose. How are you? I am not on media as much, voice text still means holding a phone and straining my eyes.
very understandable. good to walk at night maybe less triggers and no off leash dogs? I hope.
This is good to see. ❤️
Did you bring a ball?
Black lab checking to see if the human brought a ball, sitting, waiting, then almost pulling the human over. We’re working on it, this is new leash behavior. The good news, first trip last weekend to the park since surgery.
it does feel like Sisyphus with the forever boulder.
