I received a few blood transfusions when I was a teenager. I would have died without them. The people who donated are all my heroes to this day. I’m sad I can’t pay it back right now, but I’m going to work on my diet and try again in a couple weeks.

“I would but I hate needles.” The needle is in play for less than a minute and you know who else probably hates them? The person whose life you could save by being just a little bit brave.

I just visited blood donation center of a local cancer hospital. Waiting room was empty. 2 active donors in the back.

I wasn’t eligible to donate today (low iron) but everyone who reads this should try. There is a critical shortage and hospitals are desperate. Go save some lives.
