I was very anti-cell phone for a long time too! Then realized everyone was communicating without me 😂

I’m sure there’s been studies done on how the advent of cell phones changed the way we all communicated, and not making specific plans ahead of time has to be a major change!

It makes me so uncomfortable every time, and these characters are able to just live their lives after that?

If someone told me “Stop by tomorrow night” and then wouldn’t give me a time, I wouldn’t know what to do. I’d be simultaneously frozen and freaking out. And I’d just vacillate between those too things and would not stop by at any time tomorrow night.

It’s really stressed me out when characters on tv or in books make plans to meet at a later time BUT THEY DON’T SPECIFY WHAT TIME! I know it would be boring to watch/read about characters hashing out details like that, but it is SO STRESSFUL to have them not do that!

The last few days I’ve been playing the piano a lot and I’ve decided to fully embrace my chaotic playing style. Making bad art for personal good. It’s been nice.

So, I don’t if this report is accurate, but that idea is accurate, and I’m trying to stay out of any political commentary but I fail sometimes because learning about this in particular really changed how I saw everything and I think it’s important to understand.

My point is mostly that I think a lot of us really underestimate the influence of Christian extremists, and have for a long time.

I distinctly remember first running across this reading Power, Faith, and Fantasy by Michael Oren, a history of US involvement in the Middle East. That history makes so much more sense when you view it through this lens. They may be explicit about it now, but this has always been a driving force.

It only makes sense for the whole West Coast to join in!

British Columbia is changing to permanent daylight saving time?! Why does Canada have to be so much better than us? They’re just rubbing it in at this point. Oh, you get healthcare, an unfascist government, AND don’t have to nonsensically change your clocks? It’s not fair.

It's too hot and I can't see anything due to the issues with the solar rays and my eyeballs, and I'm grumpy.

I wouldn't mind the sun if it didn't insist on constantly shining right into the inside of my eyeballs.

How do I wake up and be productive today? Coffee isn’t working. It’s too Monday.

Somehow I was unaware it was eclipse season until today, and now a lot of things are making more sense.

A sandwich roll on a plate with pickled carrots and radishes, jalapeños, cucumbers, cilantro, and pork. I ended up piling on more of the pickled vegetables because they were soooo good.

Homemade bánh mì! I will not pretend it’s authentic, but as far as I can tell, it tastes pretty close. I’m very happy with how they came out.

Made the buns for them too. Because I have to be extra. And they came out great too. Good Sunday dinner to soothe the scaries.

Yeah, I mostly used it for zucchini. I had limited success with anything else. For a while Costco was selling frozen spiralized zucchini so I started getting that and never went back.

It’s not worth it! So much fuss for so little payoff.

Spiralizing! What a craze that was, and no one does that anymore. I had a spiralizer and it was such a pain in the ass to clean.

Been looking through some older cookbooks (not that old, just 10-15 years old, but that’s when I started buying cookbooks) and it’s really funny how everything is quinoa and coconut oil, and I never come across those now.

After several rounds of abject failures, I finally succeeded in making another beautiful loaf of sourdough bread this morning.

Also, the cake I made last night is still delicious and I had a piece for breakfast because I’m a grownup and I do what I want.

Happy March, everyone! It is meteorological Spring! It’s St. Patrick’s Day month and WBC and MLB Opening Day month! And most importantly, it’s my birthday month!

Anyway, appreciate all the knowledge of the nobility and lines of succession, and societal mores of the nobility during the Regency Period that I learned from reading historical romance novels in middle school. My parents must be so proud 😂 Bridgerton is like coming home to that silly little world.

This is all just so much work to have to do to bone someone.

I’m sorry, but I love all the black drapery everywhere for mourning. It’s so dramatic.

I’ve never made an upside down cake before…until tonight! Over baked it a bit, but it smells delicious. Citrus cake topped (bottomed? 😳) with navel and Cara Cara oranges because that is what I had.

I am also baking a cake, but the cake has no political affiliation.
