Weird how as soon as the NRA and various corporations that financially back Republican candidates started speaking up, the Trump administration dramatically changed course. I'm sure it's just a really weird coincidence.

Remembering this post today, as it sadly seems more resonant given my feelings after the most recent tragedy.

Spending my flight home writing Democratic leadership begging them to back up the incredible people of my state. We urgently need strong opposition to this, but we’re currently doing it alone. Now is the moment, and any Democrat unable to rise to the occasion needs to move aside for someone who is.

It’s so difficult to accurately articulate the anger I feel towards these outside forces that have come into my community and what they’re doing to my incredible state and its amazing people, as well as the rage I feel towards Democratic leadership for providing those people next to no backup.
