So sorry to hear childhood hero John 'Chunky' Herrick has died. A lion in the heart of the Cork Hibs defence, I remember the pride we felt when he was capped for Ireland. John's son Mark also donned the @CorkCityFC jersey in recent years. Loved meeting him in Galway. #LaochArLear

Football desperately needs the support of the next government to help develop a full-time academy system. Without that support, 🇮🇪 will fall further down the rankings over the next 5 to 10 years, esp considering the impact of Brexit has yet to reach the Sen international team. Time is not our friend.
