I have a theory that the 50c fares in Brisbane will slow down any expansion to PT coverage not just in Brisbane but qld as a whole.

Activists who argued fare reductions would lead to an increase in services and usage have unsurprisingly gone to ground now they have what they wanted.

Our mates in Qld are contributing to this and its all be design.

Walking 40 minutes in qld heat to get to a train station is a bigger joke in my humble opinion.

And the thing with SE qld is everyone outside it seems to think PT is great because 50c trains. What they dont know is only just over 33% of Brisbane’s population have easy access to regular and reliable PT.

The GC has has even worse pt access.

Id wager the high costs and lack of infrastructure is playing a critical role.
