We are deeply saddened by the loss of Jubi Arriola-Headley.

Our condolences to the Miami poetry community and to the many who knew and cared about him.

Always remember: if slavery was so great, they wouldn’t be scrubbing mentions of it from public spaces.

Also remember: as long as there is somebody alive who was told by somebody who was told by somebody who was told by somebody who experienced what we now call history, it will never be erased.
