The Senators who are in lock step with these actions aren't worried about their constituents or the consequences of their actions. They're playing to win - to install a form of Christian nationalism rooted deeply in white supremacy. The consequences will be deadly.

This letter is to inform you that your application to the National Endowment for the Arts for a FY 2025 Creative Writing Fellowship has been reviewed and was not among those selected for funding.
We realize this decision will be a disappointment. The Literature Fellowships Program received 2,003 eligible applications, 35 of which were recommended to receive fellowships. The selection process is extremely competitive and many worthy applicants must be turned down each year.
Better luck in two years. A 1.7% chance of being selected for a National Endowment for the Arts poetry grant is better than most lotteries. Support your local art community, y'all!
