Like, the reason they made Dalmasca now have a 20+ year gap in being conquered is because they needed to go recruit mages instead of just killing them. Which, valid actually i love that kind of worldbuilding.

Originally Dalmasca was the first country they conquered, but then they went and changed it to some city-state named Nhalmasque in Ilsabard and changed up the entire timeline of the Garlean push from Ilsabard to Othard and really pushed back the dates on a lot of stuff.

The phrasing on a lot date related stuff is a little weird, tbh, but Othard was a fucking project and they did so much sidequesting and zig zagging. Like, they went and had all of ilsabard conquered by 1522, but also they retconned info between EE1 and EE2 which makes sense why it's so confusing.

From what we know of the Garlean eastern conquest, they subjugated Bozja, then Nagxia, then Dalmasca. Bozja is 50 years ago, then 20 years later they get to Dalmasca, so around 1547 6AE
