Than that 5-10hr disjointed slog of a story…. It felt like #REANIMAL was what #LittleNightmares3 was trying to be but failed miserably at doing; being an exciting, anxiety inducing thrill ride. I am beyond excited to play #REANIMAL when it fully releases.

A few days ago I posted a message, nay, a very long, mean spirited rant about #LittleNightmares3 and what a horrible experience/execution of a sequel it was. And after experiencing the demo for #REANIMAL by @tarsierstudios.bsky.social I have more thoughts…
This 35-45 minute demo was SO much better

I’m sorry that technical issues are making it rough…. I also get that feeling on the financial aspect of it too. Anything that you fix or troubleshoot on your side with the OBS frames dropping?

I’m glad for that. If I were to know then what I know now I would have never bought it…. I would have waited until it was complete and on sale.

… That’s bullshit that I cannot abide by. Do NOT buy this game based on the previous two entries because that’s how I was caught in this honeypot. Buy this game when it’s on sale, AND COMPLETE! If you are going to do a continued story then it should have been called ep 1 or something END RANT.

… built up this incredible world and the third one makes it seem like that world that was created and REAL isn’t really an actual place but a form of psychosis that the main character of the third game is trying to work through… but I’m NOT going to buy DLC to get the real ending of this story…

I understood the first two games. The third one tho felt disjointed. I understood that Low was projecting their imaginary friend to help them out of this nightmare world that was either real or just an amalgamation of their trauma and abuse, still unclear on that last bit…. The first two games…

… But here is my main sticking point: You hold a game back from initial release, then charge 40 bucks for an INCOMPLETE story that you have to get from buying the DLC?! I might be too smooth brained to understand the ending without having done anything beyond just playing the game… but come on…

…only part of the equation. While the devs did add new gameplay mechanics that made for a more interesting gameplay experience, I felt that it changed the overall feeling of dread and helplessness that comes with being an unarmed child in a nightmarish world you got from the first two games…

This game took SnaxBauer and I about 8-10hrs to finish, because I sucked at playing. The game cost $40. This isn’t a “This game is too short to charge so much for it.” Kind of gripe because we don’t play a game and judge it based on its length. We judge it based on a whole lot more, length is…

2. @supermassivegames.bsky.social did a good job of keeping the vibes of the first two games.

3. They also did a good job of adding the two player co-op and adding some new gameplay mechanics.

That being said there are a couple of things that really turned me off to the whole experience…

Okay…. Let me just get this off my chest… Rant incoming… The other day I completed my co-op playthrough of #LittleNightmares3 with fellow Twitch Streamer SnaxBauer. First off let’s go with some positives.
