Many are people are just living their lives. They have their head down going through their day. Some people are dealing with major life events and don’t have the bandwidth. /4

I’ve participated in countless public education programs. Unfortunately, half the reason that you do the outreach is so that when someone shows up at the 11th hour to complain - and someone always shows up - you can show that you did everything to give people notice and a chance to participate. /3

- In last days of my city council campaign, I found people unaware of the election.

- In college, we published a movie schedule in the paper, posted the schedule, posted screenings, and announced upcoming movies at screenings. People still complained that they never knew what was being shown. /2
