3/3 We haven't tested in fish yet, but I wonder if there would be a significant difference in the glial calcium effect between DXM alone and DXM + bup. Thanks again for bringing this up!

2/3 I also wondered if this could explain the observed synergy between NMDAR antagonism and NE reuptake inhibition, such as with DXM and bupropion, although I'm sure there's many different mechanisms at play.

Very exciting paper - still need to go through all of it, but already liked the use of cOpn5 to stimulate astrocytes. Potentially interesting if ATP and glutamate are released through independent mechanisms
