Not the 51st state but a vassal state: What Donald Trump’s national security strategy envisions for Canada Released Thursday, the 2025 National Security Strategy is also a window into the dramatic shift in America’s official world view under Trump.

The USAs concrete plan to take over Canada. Treaties, agreements, goodwill mean nothing. Russia gets Ukraine, Baltics, China gets Taiwan, USA gets Canada, Greenland, Carribean, Central America etc. Every decision Canada makes has to prioritize defense from takeover.

I call bullshit!
He brought in recall after using dirty tricks, kamakazi candidates, to regain power from the NDP and wanted another tool to oust opponents. Much like the legislation to breakup protests. He never dreamed it would used against supporters at Couts.

Reminds me of her days of nonsense like banning WiFi. She's a nice person, member of our church back in the day and all but I thought she was over that phase she described as throwing as much s&%t as possible to see what might stick for the Greens.

It's neither clever nor effective. Liberals have to let their Ministers speak freely and avoid the university packaged comms.

I suppose ignoring it is also an option worth considering since there are no longer evidence based decisions made in the USA and Russia. I worked with a person who spent 1 year recovering from a car crash insisting she had the right of way and the merging truck did not!

I know all this. I am simply asking if we should perhaps look more inward and deal with imminent sovereignty threats such as how we reduce the risk of our children and grandchildren dying at high rates in bone cold trenches? Poking the aggressor exponentially increases that risk, eg Ford's ad?

Can we just mind our own business for a change?

And I would like to know who anointed Canada as judge and jury for the world?

Would a wiser approach for Canada at this precarious time be to take a good look at ourselves before we accuse others?

It was a time of hardship from tariffs. My grandmother is in this school picture taken in Liscomb around 1905. Many great aunts are in the picture and my great uncle who died of tuberculosis he caught at Valcartier training with the Canadian Expeditionary Force. I have names of all in this picture.

Habs have too many little players including 3 smaller defencemen. 2 of those 3 small defencemen are slow awkward skaters. Plain and simple, teams outweigh us, some by a lot and they clear the front of our net with little resistence.

All programs are subject to Parliamentary renewal. This is basic because it allows MPs, Senators to regularly review the effectiveness of programs when renewing funding.

A typical Christmas dinner in bygone days in many regions of Nova Scotia, in particular Pictou County, was wild rabbit (Hare). A typical gift was an orange and some candy in each child's stocking. There were sacrifices during the trade wars with the USA in the 1920s and 30s.

With sovereignty threatened 74% of Quebecers (63%/53% Canadians/BC) support pipelines and now recognize the significant wealth transfer from Alberta/BC. Carney is following numbers. The side story here is that Guibeault completely failed to sell carbon pricing and reduction to Canadians.
