Took mine out of the windows for the year this weekend, in advance of heavy weather and cooler temperatures. Have one in my bedroom and one in the harpsichord room. Harpsichord gets more A/C love than I do. Haven’t run the bedroom one since mid-August.

I mean, how long does does it take for the “relevant subject-matter experts” to review this and remove the confusing markings? It’s been more than three months.

Crosswalks state law requires parking 20 ft from a crosswalk. this parking spot is painted within a few feet of the crosswalk.

It’s been a while since I’ve been on Mastodon (I cancelled my Ivory subscription). Maybe I’ll give it another look.
I had high hopes that Bluesky would be what Twitter was, but sadly that is not the case. I despise Musk and hate what he’s done to Twitter, but Bluesky doesn’t seem to be the cure.

I find myself spending less and less time on this platform. If it weren’t for the #A2Council hashtag, I’d probably leave.

One obvious though dangerous workaround would be for cyclists to use the car lane when car=green/bike=red. Is this the kind of behavior MDOT should be encouraging?

Classic abuser behavior — telling you your behavior has brought the abuse on yourself, and never quite telling you *exactly* what you did wrong, so you constantly have to guess exactly what triggered the violence.

As far as I can tell, they do carry legal weight.

I understand the rationale, and I do watch for turning cars, but I think forcing bikes to wait through an entire extra cycle is unnecessary and accords cyclists second-class status.

City staff ignored this when I brought it up.

The bike signal is not automatic. It’s motion-activated, unlike the traffic/pedestrian signals. Because of this, one often encounters a situation where cars and pedestrians are allowed to pass, while cyclists are unnecessarily forced to wait through an entire cycle.

Signal repair A Hazard was submitted to the EHS office as part of a hazard identification awareness campaign. I am passing on the concern. At Division and Huron, could they sync the bike crossing and the pedestria...
